Hello Tumblr bloggers! This is my second blog post. Teehee.
This time I’m going to talk about my school, my course.
When I was a child, I wanted to become a lawyer. Then a singer. Then a news anchor. But as soon as I entered college, I grasped what I would like to become – to be a flight stewardess. Yeah, I’ve heard boorish remarks about flight attendants. People say they’re just waitresses and the only difference that they have from ordinary waitresses is that they stay inside airplanes. But I don’t really care at all. I want that job. I want to be a flight stewardess. I want to travel the world, to see and meet new people every day, to experience what it feels like being near the clouds and the skies, to be able to fly to other places.
Now I’ll talk about my course, which is BSBA Tourism Management. I’m studying at Mariano Marcos State University and I’m an incoming third year student this S.Y. 2012-2013. Before, I really thought that Tourism Management would be such an easy-breezy course because there is countless hearsay telling “Ay, Tourism? Madali lang yan. Tignan mo yung mga estudyante ang aarte. Walang alam kundi mag-makeup.” I abhor admitting it but tourism student’s image in our school is LIKE THAT, and I spurn that. I tell you, Tourism as a course is a no joke. It is a TOUGH course. We study Accounting, Sciences (even if it’s extraneous to our course), Tourism subjects, Law and several Math subjects. We also create Marketing Plans that entails a lot of brainstorming, brilliant ideas, hard work, patience, effort and ample time. We trek to far-flung areas to experience Ecotourism and that necessitates a lot of energy and time. We are the ones who welcome and usher visitors in our school and also other government affairs outside the university. We take much effort to look good because we’re going to meet other people everyday so it’s imperative to look good and presentable. Tourism nga diba? Pag tourism dapat burara at pangit tignan? Kaya nga nagmamakeup diba? Shunga ka?! Hahahaha. So next time, before judging us, think first because you don’t know what we, Tourism Management students have been through. (Ay, drama?!)
So I guess that’s it. Goodbye for a while! Mwah! :*
